Audient id24 issues

Post by giacomoc »

Hi everyone! Hope someone could help me.
I’ve got a problem with my id24. It produces some crackling sound in the low frequencies only from the headphones. I’ve tried with different guitar and cables but nothing change. I’ve done the return with amazon and have another one but the problems persist. I’m really discourage.
Is there anyone with same issue?
Thank

I couldn't hear any crackling on that so it is probably a problem on playback rather than recording. Have you tried increasing the buffer size and all the standard performance adjustments?

Yes I do. If you use headphones you can hear a sort of digital clip at the beginning of every note.

There is possibly a very slight click on the first note but I can't hear anything wrong on the rest of the notes. This is using Sennheiser HD600s and HD25s.

I've just listen back again even with air pods and it's very clear to me. I can hear a sort of disturbing noise after I'm picking the note.

I hear it now - I was listening for distortion on the transients rather than on the sustain part. That sounds a bit like clocking to me. Can you describe your complete setup with makes, model numbers and the exact type of connectors used? Also what sample rate you are using and exactly what software you are using? The more information the better...

I'm using logic pro x with reference cables and connectors for the guitar. The sample rate is 48 khz, both in logic and in the audio midi setup.

64 Buffer size (But the sound you listen in the recording is the direct signal from the interface, no daw)

Check what clock source you are using in the Audient control panel.
