There are plenty of sample-based instruments that support half-pedalling, including hardware, such as Roland's Integra-7 and Kurzweil K-series piano patches. I find that many software sample players support it too, including Alicia's Keys for Kontakt.

In fact I find it quite surprising now when a piano library *doesn't* feature half-pedalling.

As someone else in this thread said, half-pedalling does make a huge difference to the playability of piano patches. It's similar to what I frequently say about poly aftertouch: once you have it, it's hard to do without it.
