I discovered Pete Jones by seeing him live tonight

Post by Eddy Deegan »

I was at Trading Boundaries in Sheffield Green (a few miles north of Lewes) tonight to see Amanda Lehmann perform an acoustic set based around her last album (which was as good as knew it would be) but before she came on Ebony Buckle and Peter Jones both did sets, neither of whom I had heard of before.

Both I thought were excellent but Peter Jones is on another level. He performed a piano version of his 'A visit to Chigwick' which brought the house down and got a well deserved standing ovation when he left the stage. It was a phenomenal performance.

Why I've not heard of him before I don't know but I'm glad I have now!

Not exactly self-promotion but Amanda is a friend who I've played, and collaborated, with in the past hence posting here and not the Lounge.

Eddy, that was fantastic "A Visit to Chigwick" one of the best things I’ve heard lately, nothing more to say, all of it, brilliant.

Still mourning the loss of my 'Jedi Poster" status :)

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.

He's been the keyboard player with Camel for quite a few years as well as having his own output under the Tiger Moth Tales name. He also played low whistle on one of the tracks on Forgotten Gods' (Dave Boland & Arkieboy) recent album 'Memories'. He's a very talented multi-instrumentalist.
