Mac Studio underside - yuck!

Post by Dave.P »

We had new carpets fitted which meant moving all my music kit for a couple of days, rather than getting grumpy, I saw this as a chance to clear up the myriad cables and stuff that accumulates.
I bought a Mac Studio a year or two ago and when moving it I had a look at the underside where the fans/convection occurs and as it has just been sitting there since it arrived was quite surprised at the amount of fluff and other stuff that needed a good clean.
I guess nothing that would cause harm, but just a reminder to anyone with similar kit to wipe their Macs undercarriage now and again :bouncy:

One should always keep one's undercarriage clean :D

Reminds me of when I opened up my daughter's laptop recently - the sheer amount of dust that had accumulated inside!!

Martin Walker has written a couple of articles on Spring Cleaning PCs, which might be relevant.
If dust gets inside it can insulate heatsinks.
