Spitfire Audio Licences

Post by Guido3 »

I appreciate what I'm about to ask is a little bit of a grey area but there should hopefully be a good outcome for someone!!

I have quite a few Spitfire libraires which I don't use anymore. I can't sell or transfer the licences but what's to stop me changing the account email and password to that of the new user/owner?

The caveat to this is I don't want anything for the libraries but it seems such a waste to have them and not use them.

I'd be more than happy to donate them to a suitable project but can't do it 'legitimately' through Spitfire themselves.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Is there a workaround?

Single user licence which cannot be transferred. Maybe my desire to 'donate' might change things. I'll try and get hold of a human!!

Yep, I suspect any website T&Cs will be typical legalese but if you can get hold of a person they may well be more amenable.

OK. Spitfire have come back to me said that they are prepared to merge my account with that of the new recipient or I could simply change the email address and password associated with my account.

I'm hoping there is someone on this forum who works with or knows of a suitable project (youth/charity or even someone who just needs a helping hand) who would get the most out of these libraries.

Gosh that's quite a stack of stuff!
Might be worth dropping The Elf a line as I think he has a connection with a music charity/thing.

All done!!

I'm over the moon they've gone to someone who will put them all to great use for many people to enjoy.

I won't go into much detail but I lost both my parents to Dementia and one of the projects Elf works with is a choir who perform for people suffering with it.

Perfect!

Many thanks, Guido. These libraries will doubtless find use on all kinds of projects. It's humbling to witness such altruism.:clap::clap:

And thanks to Spitfire for arranging this.

Completely agree, and nice one, Paul, for helping to facilitate. This is a nice story to read in depressing times.
