Just reinstalled cubase after a pc rebuild and wanted to check the best way to install all my toontrack products, so it will load all my old projects without issue.
Does it look in vst folder as a default or will it look where it last saw the files installed, thought I would ask before I take the plunge, as I would like to get it right.
I did try to open a project with toontack products to see if it states where it was looking for the toontrack files but it didn't !
How to proceed..... ?

There’s 2 things to check, I think.
Does Toontrack accept your computer is authorised for each product?
If not I don’t think any TT product will run.
If that box is ticked, the programs (e.g EZ drummer, EZ Bass) will need to know where the samples are.
I think it might be best to download the Toontrack Installation Manager, it will probably give you the information and let you decide the path to the sample libraries.
Good luck!

No idea about Toontrack, but many plug-in providers limited the number of installations that can be done. It's a pain when you have to install a new PC after a previous one fails completely.
It might be worth checking with them to ensure you still have strikes available to you.

I think I have them all downloaded from the download manager and ready to go but I just wanted to check how to proceed, still not entirely clear, have read a few posts here and there, I guess I’ll have to take the plunge.
Re: Reloading plugins after fresh install
There are two separate processes here. The DAW will expect wav files to have the same file path. In contrast, the plug-in will load its own content the from wherever the installation manager puts the content on your new install. Any settings such as mix tuning etc you made in the plug-in are saved already in the DAW project file.

Re: Reloading plugins after fresh install
I just used the Toontrak download manager when I loaded my various Toontrack purchases onto my new music PC about 18 months ago, and everything just worked fine. Probably the first time I'd migrated them as the old music PC was very old (maybe 12 years), but they just loaded and worked.
Reliably fallible.
