EV RE20 repair

Post by peredur »

Long time lurker here, but this is where I look for proper info in the UK.

Could anyone point me in the direction of a good repair service for an EV RE20 which has become unhappy? I am having to give it loads more gain than I used to. The last two times I have used it, I am having to do crazy EQ and it is still not doing what it should be doing well. I have seen some vids about repairing them on YT but that is not for me.

TIA.

Electro-Voice do have a European repair service. So definitely worth talking to them first.

I'd start with Andy's recommendation above, but as an alternative it might be worth getting in touch with Stewart Tavener at Xaudia.com
I'm not sure if it's something he'd pick up but he might be able to point you in the right direction if not.
