But, I have two separate areas in my place, no reason, it's ended up that way, my TipTop Buchla and other similar stuff in one place, and my Moog, and Behringer ARP stuff in another. Lately I’ve been really surprised at how my Moog is at producing noise type textures, simply because I normally use my TipTop for that it's just designed to work that way, it’s easier to get to those places.
Lately I've been using the Moog to do that, it produces a much bigger way more aggressive sound, add some distortion and a few pedals and it’s positively frightening. You have to have a patchable Moog, like my Grandmother, feeding things back into each other, the Tiptop Buchla is great too, but somehow it’s a more natural refined type of acoustic sound, much more different than the Moog.
I make no distinctions normally, and use both, but lately the Moog has surprised me, and with a good amp-sim and some distortion, it’s a whole universe of gut moving "distur-bation"
