Keystep 37 repair

Post by Arpangel »

Our builder dropped my Keystep while moving some of my stuff :(
The sequencer pattern selector knob and shaft has sheered off, he must have dropped it hard.
Cant figure out if it's worth repairing, or how easy it would be, I'll contact Arturia and find out.
But, I've never got on with this thing, I may find an alternative, but what? it has to have CV out.

When there's a used one in good condition on ebay for £115?. I'd say not, besides, a knock that bad may well have cracked the PCB and .... No. Put the old one on eBay for £20 spares or repairs, someone with more time than money might take it off your hands....

...and, as ever, if it does something even vaguely worthwhile I can always home it with people who can make use of it.

If I can’t do a bodge, I'll let you know.

I did a bodge, it works.
I drilled a small hole in the pot shaft, fitted a small screw in it, screwed on a little black Doepfer style knob, job done.
