I thought I'd never be selling my 909 except in a crisis situation - now seriously thinking I might so I can fund one of these!! :D

the best of analogue & digital in one proper bad boy box, the demo tracks just sound deadly!

It's certainly impressive, and I share your enthusiasm up to a point. I sold my TR-606/808/909 machines long ago, but if I hadn't I'd happily part with them now to own the TR-1000.

But I can't help feeling that the TR-8S is 80% of the TR-1000 for a third of the price. And it makes the TR-6S look even more of a bargain.

It's going to be The Classic to have in the future.

Totally unexpected to also get the analogue circuits for the two iconic machines inside from Roland.

Rekindled my programming sessions and chops on emulating these machines on the Kurzweil K2500 in V.A.S.T.. :bouncy:

thanks for the heads-up on the TR-8S - I hadn't come across that, but it does look and sound pretty awesome, and good value too
£650 from Roland, but I'm sure there'll be an online store somewhere that would shave best part of £100 off RRP. (eBay units seem to be around £480 and up)

I did go a bit bonkers a couple of years ago and accumulate a few Boutiques - now thinking about selling the TR-06, 08 & 09 for a TR-8S and keep the 909 :D

my head says logically it would make sense to sell the 909 for a 1000 - and end up with a few quid leftover, but can't quite (well, not yet, anyway!) persuade my heart, lol!
