ROLAND GP8 SYEX -MIDI FILE FACTORY SOUNDS NEEDED

Hi Everyone
Just aquired on old GP 8 guitar processor. After some reading, there is no factory reset proceedure to restore initial preset sounds. Was wondering if anyone has a midi file or syex type file that would enable a preset transfare to restore these to the unit, or a link to such a proceedure.

I have the SYX file for the GP-8 but I don't know how to send it to you...

Have you got Dropbox or similar? If not, there are free file transfer platforms like Wesendit where you upload it and then you get a link for the person you are sending it to. Normally these links are only valid for a few days, so you need to be sure the other person is expeclcting to get it.

The SOS forum doesn’t host files or pictures, do it needs to be via a third party. But the sysex file is unlikely to be very large, so it could probably attach to an email.

mporier101, you need to get three posts here before you stop needing approval for posts and
the messaging system is then open to you, so just respond here twice then you can PM each other to work out the best way and pass links and email addresses in private.
