Radial Engineering ToneBone PZ Pre for accordion?

Post by Arpangel »

I haven’t seen my friend yet to try this out, but I'm wondering if this EHX TB Z will be useful for his accordion as he has a pick up for it, or is it a completely different thing? I think, it’s a piezo pick up he has, not sure?

I presume you mean the Radial Engineering ToneBone PZ Pre, like this?

If so, we can edit the title of the OP.

And we need to know what the pickup is. Not all piezos need a very high impedance input.

It's impossible top recommend a preamp/DI without knowing exactly what the sound source is...

So yes, it's ideal*...

...or no it's completely the wrong tool for the job*

Technical Editor, Sound On Sound...
(But generally posting my own personal views and not necessarily those of SOS, the company or the magazine!)
In my world, things get less strange when I read the manual...

Thanks Andy, Hugh, I just thought it may come in handy for my mate the accordionist, I think he has a piezo puck up on his, if so, it may give him a chance to experiment with the tone, if not, I’ll give it to someone else.
