DAW Exporting

Post by Sebastian4 »

Hi. I rendered out my track but when I play it in Media Player on Windows the first kick drum is like under a hi cut filter so I can't hear the click sound of the kick drum.

I am using Live 11 for export.
The thing that I did to make sure it will render out properly is that I took out the clip fades but I still have the issue.

It is usually a good idea to have at least a tenth of a second of silence before the first sound to give players time to unmute. Sometimes even a tenth of a second is too short - it very much depends on what you play your music on.

I am doing this sort of thing art the moment. I tend to over compensate, thus leaving enough room to top and tail things. I'll sometimes even record a click track alongside the rendered track to allow me to line things up. Sometimes that has allowed me to get things spot on.

...yep, I always leave a fractional space at the beginning of WAVs or media players tend to cut it short.

Yep, I've been cut off in my prime in many ways, where there's premature jubilation and not been represented at full force :smirk:

That’s right but in this case was a little bit of a different thing.😂

Try telling that to my teenage grand-daughter who has her thump thump bang bang music going at full tilt every waking hour

A 2 second 'pre-gap' on Track 1 was the old CD Red Book standard. I still tend to follow that. But when rendering a live concert broken into tracks for each song, with no gaps, my media player (Foobar) seems to roll happily along without missing a beat.

You are putting Debussy and a teenage girl's taste in music on the SAME page!

BTW, I have a pair of Mission 775, you might like to buy for her? They can REALLY thump! I'll throw in a 50Wpch amp.

Music is something that is truely democratic, and one person's taste is neither inferior nor superior to another person's enjoyment - snobbery doesn't exist in music, well not amongst the musicians I have known. Today's teenager could be tomorrow's Debussy.

Buy your speakers after her seeing your dismissive comments - I don't think so LOL

Not really, the grand daughter was not affronted by Debussy being mentioned on the same page as herself

I dare say Debussy himself remained unconcerned on account of his being 'brown bread'. :D

Still mourning the loss of my 'Jedi Poster" status :)

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.
