Boss GT madness for keyboard players.

Or how I unwittingly got pulled into a side alley and started using Boss GT pedals for no other reason than they were free.
But then yesterday I woke up and thought, why have you got a whole desk with three huge pedals on it that you only use about one quarter of the facilities of each one, I’m not a guitarist, I’ve no need to have anything on the floor that needs to be stomped on, and they don’t do anything more that a pedal that’s the size of my palm, in fact my palm sized pedals do more and take up about one tenth of the space.
But these GT pedals from decades ago look cool, my wife said "they look weird, what are they?" Yes, they do look weird on a desk, when someone is pushing big foot sized pedal switches up and down with their hands rather than their feet.
But I sort of like them and I don’t know why, they don’t sound exactly like anything else I’ve got, they don’t sound like my SE50/70 for instance, and the pitch shifting is rather good good, so good in fact I’d say it’s better than my Eventide (AAAARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
But where to put them? I have this slightly mad idea, to get three of those heavy duty music stands, the ones with the holes in, and lay them propped up on them, in a sort of semicircle.
Desk top use is out, take up way too much space, if this doessnt work out they are destined for Free Stuff.
At the moment I’m using one in a chain, Yamaha MX61 > Boss SE50 > Boss GT10 > Zoom MS-70CDR, one hell of a sound, and very flexible.

Sounds like a lot of real estate.

Maybe try arm bands or rubber rings and float them in the basement?
Hard to press the buttons if they are floating though. 😊

I could fit them with outriggers to give them more stability.
(I think a picture of me actually doing this and playing them in the water could potentially be SOS picture of the year)

Something like a BOSS GT1000 Core works great on keyboards. I use it all the time. Especially the guitar multifx pedals with a stereo return (that's at line level) and freely assignable in the FX Chain are great for keyboard. Just put your line level keyboard outputs in the FX return of the pedal and put the FX send/return module in front of the digital multiFX chain.

That’s useful, thanks!
