Dubby squelchy modular jam with guitar

Post by aekoi »

Here's a wee modular jam with guitar. The bassline is a squelchy modulating Pittsburgh SV1 voice with Plaits burbling along as well. Lovely!

The rhythm guitar sounds very low in the mix on my Bose bluetooth, maybe it's the mono sum? On the studio monitors it was clearer, but I did want it back in the mix.

There's some brass and vocal samples chucked in, maybe the timing is a bit shonky here and there (I'm not really selling this am I  )

Track is here

I break down the bassline patch, which uses all 4 channels of Erica Synths Black Sequencer, in this video,

I missed this one too, but I'm glad I found it now :thumbup:

VERY interesting combination of sounds (love the brass samples in particular), and a lovely mood to boot 8-)

Ooh, I didn't notice the electric guitar the first time through until it had a solo near the end - nicely done :D

Thank you for this encouraging feedback! The rhythm guitar did disappear in the mix a little, the solo was just a one (or two) take wonder, I mic'd up my Blackstar HTR5 with a 57.
