... after listening to the PMC's even for a short time, the Berry's sounded very coloured, flat, with limited real bass. After listening to my own music on the PMC's I'm hearing things that I didn't know were there...
If only someone had suggested that might be the case years ago...

In my world, things get less strange when I read the manual...

And what a great manual, if only all of them were as clear and straightforward.

I see you've been listening to your own stuff, have you been temped to remix anything? Bit early to tell yet perhaps.
No, it’s great, I’m really surprised, they all sound fine, maybe a bit of a low "bloom" on some, but nothing major.
I’m enjoying hearing all the effects in such detail, it really is beautiful.
PS, I’m finding these monitors to be extremely sensitive, I’ve had to turn the trim options down to their maximum of -8dB to get a working gain range from my 1820.

Now time to upgrade my interface.
Or perhaps, maybe some acoustic treatment?
If you loved hearing your PMC’s sound amazing compared to the berry’s, you can have that feeling again with a few absorbers.

I think if you saw my basement you wouldn’t say that!
It’s not a normal space, it’s full of nice alcoves and brick arches, the walls are far from smooth, they are made out of giant randomly shaped rocks, there is no ceiling, just open beams, it’s such an odd shaped space there are very few reflections, it’s actually a great space to record acoustically in, for these reasons.
Bottom line, it’s fine as it is, plus, there is no room for any treatment even if I wanted it!
