Kontakt 5 library folder system

Post by Elephone »

Hello. I moved my sample library folder to another location and none of my instruments could find the sample folders, even though the relationship between an instrument.nki and its samples folder is preserved. It apparently uses the whole folder path, such as:

D:\SampleLibraries\DrumMachines\StixST305\samples

...rather than just the relative folder within.

Surely this can't be the only option?! It'd take me hours to relocate all the sample folders for each instrument.

Anyone know how to alter this, or why this would be Kontakt's default or only file system? After all, the relative file system is already inherent in windows!

Cheers

Native Instruments own libraries don't like to be moved around.

But it's not normally a problem to move third-party libraries. Can you explain in some more detail what you've done?
