Can I use a Wacom DRAWING Tablet for anything DAW wise?
Re: Can I use a Tablet for anything DAW wise?
I used to use mine quite a bit (I've never been a fan of mice) but it has quite a small drawing area and when I got a second screen on my system it just stopped being practical. I keep thinking about getting a bigger tablet but ultimately there are better things I could spend my money on.

I used a Wacom pad as my primary means of navigation for several years.
much easier on the hands vs a mouse.
Currently using a Magic Trackpad with my Macbook Pro.

you can set them up to work more like a mouse…… and various key commands can be mapped to any extra buttons (i ted to use an Xtra large Bamboo Wacom tablet for Cad/Cam, Jack used to use one for Protools some time back, not sure he still has any treason to do so….. I gave mine to my daughter while she was doing art A level….. as I still found a mouse or track pad quicker and more capable of precision
some people find them more comfortable and less aggravating for RSI / carpal tunnel issues, (not me however, i find it too annoying to get on with….. )

Mostly Retired from Audio.... If I already know you I'll help, if not.... Ask Hugh Robjohns, unless that is you're in need of 80's shred guitar... that, I'm still interested in having fun with...

My wife had a tablet that wasn't getting much use and I investigated using it as an XY controller. There are a few utilities that you can use to transmit midi but I don't have the bookmarks on my phone.
I know there definitely are audio applications for Wacom tablets - they can be integrated into a kyma system
