I use a cheap cajon bag from Thomann. (£20)
Big capacity, strong outer, good handles.

I've never liked a solo violin, you need at least five for a proper fire.

Excellent choice.

Also avoids the need for an expensive and environmentally unsustainable cash furnace, which can be messy and take up lots of valuable Ferrari space.

For small scale gigs I use the heavy duty PortaBrace DVO-1 bags, designed for carrying camera rigs. I purchased 3 bags from a retiring photographer for less than 1/2 price of 1 new bag.
Very heavy duty build, yet still lighter than most case systems of similar size. They look like a large gym bag, so not as attractive to a thief as the usual Pelican cases I use for more complex setups.
