well after going round the world i can not find a 3rd party refoam kit for these drivers as no one has made a mold of them yet.

but today i spoke to a guy in Holland from https://www.speakerrepairshop.nl/en/

and will be doing a road trip to the uk when cov19 restrictions are removed so could be the end of the year or early next year as needs to see some other ppl over here is is willing to come round and take this thing apart and get the correct measurements with his tools and make a mold for them.

so if you have these speakers and are having the same problem there could be a cheaper repair option in the near future to repair the foam surrounds.

Did this ever go anywhere? I got a pair of these with the same foam rot and would love to get them fixed without having to drop $1000.

It looks like Necromunger hasn't logged in here for well over a year, so I woudn't expect an immediate answer.

i have spoken to paul at Wembley loud speaker repairs and he will be able to sort these drivers with new foam surrounds but needs a bit of time how best to do it and center the foam surround so it fits back in the wave guides.

Still mourning the loss of my 'Jedi Poster" status :)

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.

"The Best" piece of gear is subjective.
