I've never tried mixing in 5.1 using Pro Tools. Where to start??

do you have a proper 5.1 surround system?

If yes, you then just need to make your master output 5.1.

Note that most LE systems aren't surround capable. You need the Complete Production Toolkit to do 5.1 in LE.

starting on page 990 there are examples of surround set up paths for PTHD
