Buying a 2nd hand Avantone Mixcube - what to look for?

Post by Cabijista »

I've got my eye on a 2nd hand Mixcube. I've never bought 2nd hand speakers before and was just wondering if anyone could suggest any tried and true methods for evaluating it's condition?

If you can't see any physical damage to the cone or surround, and it sounds clean when you play some decent music (classical piano music is pretty good for showing up flaws) then it's probably okay... Trust your ears.
