Smart AV Tango - Watch out Euphonix!

This looks seriously funky! http://www.smartav.net/

You've got to love the 22" touch screen.

£3,790 I gather. £3,290 for a 12-fader sidecar.

I always wanted one of those Arc systems.

Never found out if it was any good but Being a trekkie it would make good for a central studio theme.

'Chekov, plot in a course to the Bucla system.'
'Yes, cupitun!'

I wonder if you can get it with the Uhuru upgrade.

An Sos review could enlighten us.

There's a review which I've not yet read in this months Audio Media (it's also on the cover) which arrived today.

I've had a play with one and I;d say that Euphonix seriously need to raise their game if they want to compete with it. OK, it's more expensive then the baby Euphonix boxes but imo it's hugely more powerful - and doesn't feel built down to a price for the home market.

Heathen!

How dare thee blaspheme against the mighty Eupho?

On an almost serious note: what is it you liked about the Arc?

Interesting looking box with a lot of potential - will be curious to see if it makes it to the PC unlike the last one they did which was purely for Logic and the Mac (and $XXXXX!).

Always loved the Arc and their general design and approach so will be watching this one with interest.

Red - it's already Cubase/Nuendo compatible (as well as Logic), with other platforms to follow.

Sorry Steve, didn't make myself clear - the previous SmartAV surface was dedicated to Logic on a Mac... this preliminary launch brochure for the Tango does indeed mention Nuendo as well as Logic, though no mention of platform...
