Is this upgrade pricing for existing users only?

Navigating several sites does not reveal this offer. However, the link provided does include "upgrade" in the url, although nothing in the text of that page indicates prior purchase of software required.

It's definitely not an Upgrade as plenty of people on the Cakewalk forum have purchased.

I've just emailed them re this exact question.

I was actually about to upgrade Soundforge 10 but with this deal I get 11, Melodyne, DDP (yay) and Spectrallayers Pro PLUS all the other goodies.

Worth the price just for those.

I thought the offer stopped today, the 6th? You also get 3 activations so I have it on my 3G 6core AMD desktop as well as this HP laptop.

Son and I have been fans of Samplitude since Computer Music gave us Sam 8SE.

BTW, if anyone here has got the demo song for Pro X 3 I would love to hear from you!

The US offer stopped on the 6th - but then came the UK offer - and that runs until the 10th.

I got sent the US offer several days before the UK offer, so took up the US version.

Two different offers at the same price ($149 = £114) but one started a few days before the other, but both with the same limited time window - just offset from each other.

It was noted elsewhere that the URL contained the word upgrade but it's not mentioned anywhere else and multiple people on the Cakewalk forums have confirmed that it's not an upgrade.

SpectraLayers Pro 4 (PC & MAC) was a download and they sent me an e-mail with the links and serial numbers.

None of the DVDs says "upgrade".

All this for just £114

For completeness I downloaded SpectraLayers Pro 4 (both versions) and burned the .exe and .dmg files, together with a Word and PDF copy of the e-mail to CD and have filed it with the 12 discs I received today.

One thing no longer in Pro X3 is the "save as complete VIP" function.

That was handy for dumping stuff to sticks and playing on another PC. Maybe the other function do the same but I have not had time to investigate.

It's the full product. I jumped in without noticing the word UPGRADE in the URL and got panicked when I noticed after parting with the cash, but it installed without problem.

Agreed - I have been using Samplitude from the beginning - up to v9 and then swapped to Sequoia from Sequpia 9 to the v11 I have now.

But my v11 is 8 or 9 years old and the upgrade to 14 is £££££.

So I get the latest of most things with Samp. X3 and can swap files over easily.

Oh - and Magix support has always been excellent

ANd still is - when I ordered this deal I e-mailed them with several questions about compatibility of X3 and Sequoia 11 and they answered very quickly (within 24-hours)

I got mine from the US as they announced the US offer before the UK one - it cost me about £119 all in - including the credit card foreign currency fee and posting the 12 CDs/DVDs to me in the UK.
