Question about recording outputs of virtual instruments in Logic

Post by Chromeman »

In Logic, I'm wondering if there is an easy way to record as audio the individual outputs of a drum VSTi - typically I create the outs routed to separate Aux tracks, I then create a set of audio tracks and bus the audio from the individual AUX tracks to the corresponding audio tracks which I can then record. In PT you can just set the input of an audio track to the relevant output of the VSTi which seems a lot simpler. I must be missing something in Logic.

When you bounce in place there are options to include instrument multi-outputs, as well as an option to bounce them as additional tracks.

So you can bounce tracks in place in one go, offline, all multi-outputs from an instrument into individual audio files/channels.
