Monitor Output Issue

Hi, I've recently been having an output issue with my set up. Whilst running the audio level goes up and down.

I'm running Logic X to a Focusrite Clarett 8Pre to Yamaha HS80M monitors.

Whether there is something obvious I'm missing I don't know but the output levels that show on Logic and the Focusrite don't appear to be dipping along with the volume. So I'm assuming it's potentially a monitor issue.

Any help or guidance would greatly be appreciated.
