Reaper Group Folders to the left
Reaper Group Folders to the left
I wonder if anyone could help please. I run Reaper with my Berhringer X Touch. When I click "group folders to the left" on my mixer window it does so on that window but not on my control surface, which is a bit of a pain in the posterior. Can you help? Many thanks, Peter.

Hello Peter and welcome! I've moved this thread to the "Recording: Gear & Techniques" forum as it is a better location for the topic at hand.

Hello. I run Reaper with a BCF2000 and have the same issue. One workaround is to first click with your mouse on the folder track you want to tweak, the Behringer will jump banks straight to it. Hope this helps...
Re: Reaper Group Folders to the left
Many thanks, I'll give this a bash and let you know how I get on,
Cheers

I feel I should be able to help on this because I use Reaper and a BCF, but I never use folders.
Out of curiosity, are you using as a mackie HUI device using Klinke?

If you set the channel to show up of the track panel but not on the mixer panel, does it show up on the controller?
@Drew
I've got so reliant on folders that instead of creating one track at a time I've set up a template to insert a folder with four channels and a designated send effect already hooked up. Well worth exploring.

Hi everyone.
Manwilde: I tried clicking on the folder track but the x touch didn't jump.. oh well, worth a try.
Blinddrew : It is Mackie control with Klinke.
Thanks for the input. I posted on the Reaper forum and got no replies.
I can live with it. It would just be good to have all the folder parents together on the control surface.
Thanks again
Peter.

Re: Reaper Group Folders to the left
Sorry, I know nothing about Kinkle, my BCF runs straight under Mackie Control. Anyway, that shouldn't be a problem. There might be an option on Preferences to check, something to do with track selection. I'm away from my computer but will check later to see if I can find the culprit...
Anyway, how do you select your tracks normally? Always via X-Touch, only with the mouse, both? And how do track selection in your screen and on your Behringer correlate?
