Zoom L-20 Livetrack Problem with Pro Tools HD?

Post by CoolinDoodin »

I recently bought a new Zoom Livetrack L-20 and went to connect it to Pro Tools HD only for it to say that the only sample rate the Zoom supports is 44.1kHz. I know for a fact that the Zoom supports up to 92kHz, as it works up to this sample rate on Cubase.

Has anyone had a similar problem or can anyone offer some solutions?

Thanks a lot!

Good morning!

It looks like the 96kHz setting (on the switch at the back of the unit) applies only to SD card recordings, not to using the L20 as an audio interface. Over USB, it seems you can only use the 44.1 or 48 kHz options, as mentioned in our review: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/zoom-livetrak-l-20

Cheers,

I've not used the L-20, but have an L-8 here and some facilities, including audio interfacing, don't support 96 kHz.

Thanks everyone, however ProTools doesn't even let me use 48kHz though, it only allows 44.1.
