Drummer needing help with Logic Pro x

Post by dustin@renewed.church »

I am using logic pro x with my drum module, but I can't figure out how to adjust the cross talk in logic pro to stop other sounds from triggering when I don't hit them. For example I will hit my floor tom and it will trigger the cymbal from the vibration of hitting the tom. Does anyone know how to fix this in logic pro? Thank you

Do you mean you are physically hitting a pad, and the vibration is causing another pad to trigger?

If so, this is not something you fix in Logic, the drum kit should have settings for various cross-talk sensitivity thresholds etc.

Once a note is sent via MIDI, there's no way Logic can determine that a D1 note with a velocity of 34 is a soft hit from you, or a vibration-induced hit the pad has generated.

Sure, you can eliminate low velocity hits, but that just removes your ability to express your self with grace notes etc.
