Morning Fresh Acoustic Panels

Post by Moroccomoose »

Hi Folks,

Bit of an odd one here! We get some of our shopping delivered by 'Morning Fresh' who supply a box of pre measured out ingredients and recipes for the ultimate in home cooking convenience - 1st world problems, I know!!

In the box, the cold items are wrapped in a sheet of PET insulation material 18x32in, 3/4 in thick. estimated density of 35kg/m^3 (About half the density of RW3).

Is it worth collecting them up to make acoustic panels? Just a thought! - I was thinking of collecting maybe 8 sheets to make 2 panels 80mm panels.

Stu.

Worth a try, not likely to be fire proof though, there again neither are duvets. ;)

Is it open cell? If not, it will be reflective and sound insulating rather than absorbing.

Oops, wrong topic -- I thought this would be about someone applying Febreze spray to their acoustic panels to get rid of that horrible Rockwool smell...
