Well obviously the CD version should be the most accurate representation and the vinyl version should have random bits missing where there was crackling and maybe a few sections removed where the groove was so damaged that the stylus jumped forwards.
Alternatively a section is repeated many times as it jumps backwards.
I love the ‘cover version’ version.
