Hello all!
I added a subwoofer to my monitoring situation several months ago.
I understand that this is all relative, but I've always been a bit suspicious of where the volume knob of my KRK 10S is set in relation to the volume knobs set on my Adam Audio T7Vs.
My T7V volume knobs are both set to 0db (about 2 o'clock), while the volume knob on my sub is set about 1/10th of the way on (about 7 o'clock).
My issue is that it seems like my sub is insanely sensitive with this configuration. I can't move the sub volume knob more than 1/10th of a millimeter without introducing too much sub freqs.
I don't have a proper decibel meter, but to my ears it sounds like the levels are set correctly, I just really don't know if this is a typical issue / configuration that people deal with with subwoofers?

Re: Subwoofer volume
Firstly, can you just drop the output volume to the sub so that the know is around the mid-point? You'll likely find it much easier to fine tune then.
And, without meaning to teach egg-sucking to an ageing female relative, how much have you experimented with the position of the sub in the room and how much bass-trapping have you got?
