I use some older VST plugin synths such as SuperWave that don't have their own file management system, so rely on that provided by the host DAW. They seem to not update the displayed patch name when I create a new patch. That means I have no means of knowing which named patch is in use. For example, if I load a patch, modify it and save it under a new name in my DAW's system (in my case, Cubase), the plugin does not update the list of patches in the dropdown box at the top centre of the screen.
Does anyone know a workaround?
It would also be really helpful if someone explained what these functions on the file system mean:
Import FXP/FXB...
Convert Program List To VST Presets
Using old VST plugins that don't update the current patch
Using old VST plugins that don't update the current patch
