Looking To Identify Synthesizer Sound Used In 90s TV Show Theme "My Brother And Me"

I'm currently listening to this song from my childhood, and I find myself curious what synthesizers may have been used to create the theme song to "My Brother and Me." Mostly curious about the main melody 0:00-0:20 then again at 0:39-end. I have a feeling it is an old Korg or Yamaha preset, but I don't have the Korg Collection VST or any Korg keyboards. Anything I'm loading up from my virtual instruments just doesn't sound right. If any synthesizer scholars out there can identify any of the other sound sources for other pieces of this theme, I'd be grateful to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

The vocal bits are from a sampler. The cheesy brass sounds like a rompler - 1992 is a bit early for the JV-1080, but could be an earlier Roland (eg JV80, U220) or Korg rompler (M1 etc).

Not sure about the lead, a layer of a couple of patches likely, there's not much to pin it down to a particular instrument, imo.

Thanks so much for your reply! Very interesting, and a super helpful response. It's mostly that particular timbre of cheesy brass I'm trying to track down. The show debuted in October 1994 (the year on the YouTube video is inaccurate), so maybe the 1080 is in there. Once again I thank you!

Ok, then yeah, check out that era of romplers - Roland have the JV-1080 as a plugin with all the presets, and you probably also have the M1 with all the cards in your Korg software. You should find things close enough for your needs. The Roland's definitely have sounds that are a good match for that brass sound, for sure. (I've spent years trying to avoid them..! ;) )

The main sound is a muted trumpet, that is a trumpet played with a mute in place. It sounds like a straight mute (not a bucket or cup type) which gives the high-end sizzle. Sampler or ROMpler IMO, not synthesized. That should narrow it down quite a bit since there's usually only one example on any instrument bank that has a muted trumpet available.

It's a very bad one, I can't believe Roland could be responsible for that. But I defer to muzines' knowledge of their dodgier samples. ;)

I mean, it sounds pretty similar the muted trumpet in my XV-5080, so... ;)
