OMG, I’ve been looking for a working one of these for ages, it was at the heart of a lot of my music, and I miss it greatly, found one tonight, and bought it.
So looking forward to using these sounds again.
I give you, the Casio CSM10-P.
What a night, sound module acquisition.

“The CSM10P is inexpensive (£199) and offers five reasonable sounds, but from the hi-tech musician's viewpoint I think the money could be spent more wisely.”

that review is 1/4 of a century old
I have a Casio MT which when reviewed would probably say - an effective way to spend your hard earned to get a polyphonic synth, drums are cr@p, nothing like real drums. Doesnt have MIDI but as that hasnt been invented yet we are none the wiser.
Where as now : for a home organ toy, its has some a couple of useable sounds, the digital sounds are so crushed & quaint, they are almost analogue, which the drum sounds are, although not 808 style [ shame they didnt put individual outs & MIDI control but it hadnt been invented].
of course the modern ******** synth wipes the floor with it.

It’s fascinating to read old reviews to see how tech was perceived at the time it came out, and how we perceive it now. Of course you are right, this early stuff had some quaintness and grit, as we now see it.
Tony, I do get your your pleasure in having access to sounds that were important to you. No doubt you’ll stick it through some Lo-fi pedals to make it even more grungy…

Quite !
now that we have VSTs and a 24 track for free on a reasonably priced laptop, it puts every thing into perspective of the sound rather than whats affordable.

This module was used a lot on my album Storm Clouds Over Cricklewood, through a Lexicon LXP1/5
A hundred pounds is nothing, to get these beautiful sounds back again, they are so emotive.

It makes a hell of a difference, and can change the character beyond.
It’s the make-up that can turn a bland face into a beautiful one.
