M-AUDIO AIR 192|14 Recording Issues

Post by vjk »

Hello, I've been using the Air 192|14 for 3 years on an old 2012 MacBook Pro, and it was working fine, no issues.

I've recently bought a MacBook Air with M3 Chip, running OS X Sonoma 14.5.

I've had no problem getting playback for generic Streaming of YouTubes etc.

It's also working fine for Audio Playback when I'm in Presonus Studio One 5 Pro v5.5.2, but today I tried, for the first time, to use it for recording in same DAW and I get no signal going into Studio One. I get signal lights on the Air 192, but no signal is getting INTO S1. And yes, I have checked the I/O settings.

I also tried it with GarageBand, Logic Pro, and Audacity; none of these are receiving audio signal input from Air 192.

I tried to look on the M-Audio website to see if I need a driver or firmware update, but can't find anything there for MAC...only Windows.
All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks...Victor Kennedy

You may have to allow access to the Microphone in System Settings/Privacy and Security…

Thanks Adam, that fixed it. I'd forgotten about that setting, and didn't realise it's needed for every DAW to be used. Now I can get on with sorting out EZDrum and other tech issues I'm having. Cheers...
