When I look at the inserts on FL studio, on the stereo seperation knob it says "original". All the way to the right = 100% merged( is it "mono"?). All the way to the left is "100% seperated" (stereo?)
If I keep everything as "original" , will my song be in mono or stereo?
And when I use a waves plugin, must I use the stereo one or the mono one?
Is the default on FL studio stereo or mono?

Re: Is the default on FL studio stereo or mono?
According to the online documentation here:
So, with the knob all the way to the left the track is stereo and all the way to the right it's mono.
As each track is stereo, leaving it at 'original' will preserve whatever balance between left and right you recorded the track with (or have any insert instruments set to if it's a software instrument track).
Your song will not be mono just because an insert track is set to mono. The stereo image of the song as a whole will depend on the panning you have applied to all the recorded tracks.
Image Line docs wrote:Mono vs Stereo - The FL Studio Insert Mixer Tracks are stereo. To hear a Mixer Track in mono, turn the Stereo separation control as indicated above, to mono (fully clockwise).
