Hmm dont really have much to soothe right now but yeah good idea :)

Still interested in what people uses it for and thinks of it. I've heard the buzz, and proper experience from people who's used it in anger is always good

I’ve used it quite a few times. Mostly, it works very well and saves loads of time searching for resonances. But it can’t be used on everything - on vocal-like sounds it can create some weird fluctuating effects.

Yes, it's definitely a great tool

I found it on Disclosure live and I fell in love with it!
You can test it for free and then make a decision about purchasing it!

You can also check Drawmer Mastering Processor. It also an amazing tool for finalizing the mix.

It's not a panacea, but it is better the Gulfoss IME- you will still have to eq stuff in the normal way. But when you have things that "bark" occasionally, especially vocals and electric guitars- it sorts those out really quickly. Stuff where the "bark" is being caused by a dozen harmonics related to the pitch. It's perfect for that final polish in a mix.

ˇI had some really early recordings where the cheap mic had horrific resonances that came and went depending on pitch. Soothe just sorted it out... revealing a bunch of clipping that had not been audible before.

That Gallagher vocal on the other thread has all the side effects of Soothe followed by Melodyne followed by Soothe.

Thanks!

Gallagher who? That whole period of music passed me by, I was doing something else in the 90s. I know there was this group called Oasis and they were big, but I literally couldn't tell you the title of any of their songs. There was something about anger, I think. I've read about their characters in a few magazine articles, and it really never made me want to check out the music.
