Funny sale this. Wasn’t it just a few months back when their Rack was on sale fo $100?
So now they raise their prices, and then lower them down a bit for the “Sale”
I do find some of their plugins are just the ticket sometimes!

Strange and mysterious are the pricing methods of plugin manufacturers. Don't attempt to understand, simply take the opportunities as they pass by.
This way is zen.

It's their Spring Sale, 2021. They do one of these every year...

This happened in their Spring Sale, 2020, which (checking my emails from them) had the Bundle for $299 and FX Rack for $199 - so each $10 more than this years Spring sale prices.

The difference was that last year, the pandemic happened, so they did an offer where you could use FX Rack for free for three months as a pandemic special. Then, they gave an *additional* incentive of an *extra* $100 off the Spring Sale prices of the bundle and FX Rack - that's also when I picked it up for $100 - the cheapest their FX Rack and Bundles had ever been. (There's also a forum thread about this offer if you want to look it up).

(For context, last year's Black Friday Soundtoys sale was offering FX Rack for $130 and the Bundle for $230 - so, there are better deals to be had on Black Friday than in their Spring sale, generally.)

Retail prices haven't changed, but the sale prices vary depending on the offers at hand. Last year was an exceptional situation though.

As I came to the SoundToys party late I’m kicking myself for not grabbing the rack special. That was quite a deal then last year.
Rats!

I got it included in my Soundtoys 4 collection, but for some reason have never used it as yet.

I must explore it, rather than reaching (as I so often do) for Panman, Echoboy or Microshift.

Microshift!
:thumbup::thumbup:
Have wondered about Decapitator but assumed that a nice fuzz or distortion can almost do the same.

I find it a really useful tool. There aren't many mixes that it doesn't squeeze on somewhere.

I realise I'm sounding a bit like an advert for SoundToys here, so just for clarity, I have no link to them whatsoever! :)

I'd say yes. Like Drew it finds its way into a lot of my mixes.

(er, I'd better rephrase that, as Drew hasn't yet found his way into one of my mixes ;))
