It is an impressive milestone; I feel as if I've grown up alongside SOS for decades now (oh, wait, that'll be because I have!)
Wonderful job and thank you to all the staff for a brilliant read. The dedication and hard work is inspiring

Thanks Martin - and you get a name-check in the article and DeLorean caption.

Thanks for the comments chaps.
What I find the most scariest thing is that the writer of the article, Chris Korff (aka Forum member The Korff) wasn't even born when we launched SOS in 1985 ! Eek!!!!!

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.
Re: 35 Years of SOUND ON SOUND
Piggin' 'eck!
I remember buying issue 2 all those decades ago, with a young John Foxx on t'cover.
And I still have it.
All that took place back in summat called t' 20th Century,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85SQnF7I0gY
when "Midi" was something women wore, "synths" did not remotely resemble Gemma Chan (sadly). and Hovis was still delivered by a Boy and Bicycle.
But you tell young people today, and they won't believe you.
Félicitations, Sound on Sound !
You certainly turned your Revolt Into Style...

That photo of the 1914 issue begs the question - what have you got against Geoff Downes?

I think Midge must have bought up most of the copies of Issue #1...

I think he used them to build a thin wall in his studio.
Coat time!

Where does sound exist?
Re: 35 Years of SOUND ON SOUND
I’m a more recent student of SOS (only since 2008 I think), but it’s been the source of much of my learning or the signpost to where I need to read more. I’ve never bought anything studio wise (except my reissue Minimoog which I preordered before Gordon said it quacked in the requisite manner) before I’ve read the SOS review and still don’t intend to. The recent addition of podcasts to the output is amazing too, just listened to all of Mike Seniors and they’re sooooo good.
Well done keep up the sterling work and the humour. Both much needed!

Well done SOS.
I've too have been there since the early days & it's taught me pretty much everything I needed to know ever since.
SOS & The Sky at Night are the two guilty pleasures I still look forward to every month!
Have to say the last few issues have been top notch!
Keep up the excellent work
Ian

I don't know... I come looking for exciting new developments, and what do I find?
Some bods wittering on about a 35 year old rag
Seriously impressive guys. I'm definitely a new boy to the scene and a lot of what's in the mag goes over my head, but I really appreciate it anyway
