The Ozrics do tend in my experience to be a marmite band. I have their album Arborescence in my CD collection and love it, but various of my friends have over the years asked for it to be taken off as they find it 'grating'.
Good job we're all different!

i agree..my wife hates them..i can listen to them all day..i bought the album pungent efflugent when i was a young lad and was instantly blown away..i have a very vivid memory of placing the needle on the record and thinking holy shit "whats making that noise" i honestly couldnt tell what was guitar and what was synth or bass guitar

I was aware of OT but hadn't really given them a proper listen, I had forgotten about them until I read your previous post so I ended up spending an hour yesterday listening and reading about them. Now bookmarked, thanks for the reminder.

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.

Dance with the Dead would be similar to the mentioned Master Boot Record, albeit more upbeat (there is that word Dance in the bands name, after all!)

Hi, if you’re still interested:
Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine
Nine Inch Nails
Nitzer Ebb
Fatima Mansions
In fact there’s a whole genre of industrial rock that have heavy use of synths and drum machines.
Cheers!

Check out the Primal Scream albums XTRMNTR and Evil Heat. The former is one of my all time favourites, the latter hits higher heights but has a few not so great.
Special mentions for Autobahn 66, Miss Lucifer and Accelerator.
