Hi, would love your advice. I mix through an analogue console but typically run out of AD convertor slots to bounce back into the DAW. I could buy another interface of course. However Hugh's reviews of the Zoom units (ostensibally for field usage) are very positive. And they allow for 24 bit 192Khz AD if required. And I like their simplicity and multiple possible uses.
Anyone using these units to mix-down tracks to? Are the AD convertors suitable "quality" to send on for mastering?
cheers

The Zoom F6 is a really neat little machine and you'd have no problem recording balanced line level signal from your console's mix output into the F6. The F6's output is unbalanced consumer level, which might be awkward if you want to playback from it to check a mix, depending on your console's monitoring facilities, but it's not insurmountable.
The F8n would be fine too if you prefer that format for alternative uses.
