Hearing Loss Article Title

musing out loud here but would the title -
Preventing & Negating Hearing Loss be more accurate if it was called
Delaying Hearing Loss?
I enjoyed the article and learned some new things.

That title would not include treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of worsening of already existing hearing loss. I agree with the focus on prevention, however many of us already have substantial hearing loss. This was mentioned in the article, although we may not be pleased with the available options.

'Tis a shame no-one reached out to me for a bit for an article on hearing loss, given I have literally zero natural hearing!

Do you have one of those cool implants? A neighbour had one. Pretty amazing technology.

Yep I’ve had a Cochlear Implant since 2015! I’m thinking of writing up about the latest processor upgrade I received recently as a “gear review” on these forums

Wow. A cochlear implant is now 'gear'. I'll have to do a review of my upcoming titanium fingernail grafts.

I get your point, but a Cochlear Implant is audio related! And the Nucleus 7 I’ve been upgraded to has a lot of improvements related to music

Good name for a gear review.

I hear the Nucleus 10 will have a sub-woofer add-on!
:D
On a serious note - is there any Bluetooth involved?

Yep, the Nucleus 7 comes with Bluetooth for iPhone and compatible Android devices! The quality is poor compared to headphones or the wireless Mini Mic I got as a promotional item (it has an aux in as well as an on-board mic) but when you're on the bus and don't have a decent set of cans on you, the Bluetooth fits the bill.

A motto for either the company or the implant:

"Eargear to please"

We can make a video - I'll do a ditty with the slogan, you do the personal endorsement, and both of us will be rich and famous. Which won't make us happier than we are now, but it might be an entertaining diversion. 8-)

So much for rich and famous, then. Bet they don't have the cunning slogan, though.

How about we sell beer specially produced for Deaf people instead? We could call it "Beering Aids"

EDIT: According to Urban Dictionary this is already a thing.... :headbang:

My buddy got the latest hi tech hearing aids. His first pair. The first time the phone rang through them it was so loud he said he almost had a heart attack.
