I'm still on Intel so not a problem for me but apparently some external monitors have resolution problems when attached to M1 Macs. The Register has a long article on the problem which includes a solution. I thought I'd link to it here in case anyone hit it.

Good going CC!
I was thinking to get a big monitor for my MBAir M1 over Christmas.
I installed BetterDummy now straight away before Apple close him down...
Cheers!

TBH I'm still on Mojave ... I've got Catalina lined up for install when I get around to it as I'm still staying 1 or 2 versions behind the latest. There's a couple of bits of 32-bit software I still use that I really must find replacements for.
Haven't even thought about Big Sur yet, though your thought sounds reasonable. It means I'm a little behind on Logic too, but being as most of what I do is acoustic recording the "latest and greatest" features rarely have much to say to me.
