"Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
I guess this is one of those silly sale items, that nobody is ever going to pay this for.
Unless it was made of an Alloy of Iridium and Yttrium and turned whatever signal you presented it with into a perfect Vai/Satriani/Slash/BB King/Django Reinhardt based on a selector

Re: "Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
I predict it will hold its value until they hit 20 million pedals and make special editions for that, then its value will plummet. Boss hit 15 million in 2017, so it can't be long now before 20 million units are sold.
Someone is obviously selling this before its value drops!

Reliably fallible.

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.
Re: "Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
That’s about as much as I’d pay for the pedal.
Re: "Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
A slightly different but more affordable 10 million pedals limited edition Blues Driver. Still rather overpriced though.

They're like buses, non for ages then three arrive at the same time (ok, only 2 but I'm sure there'll be another along shortly)

Good lord. Funny thing, I live in the US and now that I've clicked that link from a UK customer, Reverb thinks I'm in the UK and is pricing everything in pounds lol. Now that's quality programming for ya. Better log off and clear me caches.

Where does sound exist?
Re: "Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
New song: Blues Driver Blues
I woke up this morning
With more money than sense
I was longing to throw out
My pounds, shillings and pence
I sang hallelujah and I clapped my hands
When I found an FX pedal for eleven grand
I got the Blues Driver blues
My middle name is idiocy

Instant gratification is actually pretty good. It's fast as well.

I’ve clicked on links in Facebook which then show me adverts below the article that say “people in Luton also like this…”, however I live about 80 miles away from Luton. I used to live in St Albans which is 10 miles away, but that was before the UK had the internet
Re: "Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
I'd imagine that if people in Luton like something, it should be avoided like a rabid dog.

Supposedly thats’s equivalent to somewhere between £4000 to £4281 now.
Reliably fallible.
Re: "Rare" Boss pedal... How Much?
Yes, shocking at every level!
I (foolishly, in hindsight) sold mine after a decade, but I got much more than I paid for it, so I can't really complain. And I treasure the time I had with it -- it is the only synth I'd describe as a really expressive performance instrument in the way a piano or guitar can be.
But it was a complete beast to move around, and it's reliability wasn't great. In the ten years I had it I had to replace at least one VCO chip, a couple of filter chips, some envelope chips, and some logic gates. Voice boards frequently needed re-alignment too. At the time Yamaha still had spare custom IG chips available off the shelf, but that's no longer the case. Maintaining one today would be an expensive and frustrating nightmare.
I can see why good examples are attracting the prices they are today... but I'm hoping Behringer do a decent job with the DS-80 and launch it before I get a chance to play a Hydrasynth deluxe!

I've just finished a track featuring my Hydrasynth and polyphonic aftertouch, and it gave me a warm glow to finally achieve that Vangelis CS80 'expressability'.
