TC Infinite Sample Sustainer

Post by BJG145 »

...has this come up before...? I was weighing up the comparisons between EHX Freeze and Gamechanger Plus again (here's Loopop), and I noticed a new kid on the block.

It seems to have more of the functionality of the Gamechanger (like stacking) but at a lower price. Tempting...

Think it's a new release isn't it?
First I've heard of it at any rate.

Just read Paul's review, and this is now officially on my eBay watchlist.

I wanted one for my son but it seems Paul had hands on of the only one in UK, possibly EU!
Bought him a Tassy DR-40X instead.

Anyone tried the Infinite yet?

If not, you should get one, then you can tell me if it's any good.

You'll be waiting a very long time before someone can confirm to you whether it does sustain indefinitely.

Seemingly no longer an 'elderly'.
Now a 'Senior'. Is that promotion?

Re my earlier post, I wanted one for my son because he is with a band playing the singer/songwriter's material and he is definitely influenced by Queen.

Son is also the only guitarist (Git, bass, drums) and it seemed to me that some form of sustainer could allow for a 'denser' more "Mayesk' sort of sound?

So, if anyone does get one I would be very interested to know if it would be useful in that context. Mind you, gotta get the jam jar fixed first and then see how much help I get from those spatting wannabe PMs!

All I know is that the looper function on my TC Flashback pedal was shite and left about a half-second of silence at the start of the loop. I'm not into loopers but if I was, my experience would steer me away from a TC one. They had their chance and blew it.

New gadget incoming.

Does anyone else feel that simply waiting a respectable length of time justifies buying something...or is that just me...?

Whereas I generally wait until either the price has doubled or the company has gone bust.
I spend less money but I have fewer toys.

Whisper it, but it turns out that neither my fun nor my productivity is proportional to the number of toys I own...
Shocking right?

I've just got an EHX Pico Deep Freeze and it is very flexible, for me the useful feature is that you can set the foot switch for momentary sustain (hold the pedal and it sustains until you release) or to toggle the sustain on and off.
