So, how do you submit?
Break eye contact first.
Oh wait, you're not talking about cats anymore, sorry...
Just send Rich a link to a downloadable file with the track title and background and he'll collate it into the playlist.
Because he's nice like that.

I've balanced up the tracks that I have but I'll give any stragglers until about half past six and then upload at about 7pm

Well here it is, 14 tracks, 12 forum members, 10 synths
https://soundcloud.com/one-synth-162448 ... al_sharing
Start your speculating now!
A reminder that each track is downloadable if you wish to listen to non-data reduced versions, which will last until the playlist is made public after the big reveal.
I shall reveal the contributors and the synths but not which tracks they relate to at about 7pm tomorrow evening.

Well done Rich
, enjoying these. Hard to believe that these tracks just use one synth, shows what can be wrung out. I will hazard some guesses later..

Good work Rich, will have a listen later but I won't even attempt any guesses on which was made on what.

Just had a listen through. This is going to be a tough one. The sheer diversity is fantastic

First listen personal favourites.
Track 01: I've only got as far as this and I already want to buy this synth that growls like an animal and tinkles like a stream, whatever it is!
Track 06: And now I also want to buy the beautifully percussive and wiry synth featured here
Track 09: Love the metallic and electronic piano sounds from this track (FM synthesis surely?)
Track 14: Ooh - this has some beautifully haunting timbres too, with lovely internal motion
I need more funds!
Well done everybody

Here’s my wildly wrong guesses. I’ve listened through a few times. Really impressive work by all. There’s not a track here I wouldn’t happily add to my library.
1. No clue
2. Modular
3. DSI
4. Hmm
5. Waldorf
6. FM synth
7. Korg DW8000
8. VP 330
9. No idea
10. 2600
11. Another DSI
12. Prophet
13. Jupiter
14. Clueless

A good selection of tunes & styles. No8 with the vocoder - thats gotta narrow down the posibilities quite a bit.

I am clueless, really, apart from Will’s track! There are some great sounds, but my big lesson is that pretty much all modern synths seem to be insanely powerful and flexible. Amazing variety….

There's one in there that has really surprised me - it was a synth I used in a previous OSC but the person has taken it further than I did!

Wonderful array of sounds there, but I wouldn’t have a clue on identifying the synths!
We’ll worth downloading the wav files - I’ve found - now that I’ve figured how to do it on my iPad!
Look forward to hearing them again when I get back to the studio at the end of the week.

Wow, I really enjoyed listening to all of them.(even mine) Some fantastic sounds in there, I couldn’t even speculate, most of the time what synths were in play.
But really well done all.

What a great listen! I can’t join in the guessing game as I don’t know the first thing about synths.
I don’t think any of you should mention this challenge to your partners though, they might listen and then wonder why anyone needs more than one synth….
