I have discovered that I have no knowledge in this area, never had to wire any up.
I would be obliged if Hugh or another top bod could give me the full SP for the wiring of an XLR3 to XLR3 cable with cable with say two Blue and Two White conductors.
Dave.

Here's a good place to start

Basically you connect the opposite cores together - whether they are the same colour or not depends on the cable construction.

The two whites are one leg (I put them on pin 2), and the two blues are the other (pin 3).

In my world, things get less strange when I read the manual...

That's what a chap on another forum said but the diagram I found (lost it!) showed alternate colours paired up.
I shall take your opinion as gospel Hugh!
Dave.
Re: Star Quad wiring
There are two standards. Dual white/ blue is the most common. Eg. Van-damme starquad (scroll down to the section on Mechanical Spec, Colur Code).

Obviously, if in doubt check the cable manufacturer's website.... but strapping blue and white together makes no sense on any level!
Personally, I prefer the Beeb's standard of red/blue for +ve and green/white for -ve. Makes it much easier when wiring the cable for stereo applications!

I take it that’s red/blue left, green/white right?
Re: Star Quad wiring
That would be the sensible option, yes.... unless you're in New Zealand!
