There does seem to be a clear iPad related theme here, doesn't there? I did pass that back to the team yesterday in the hope it might focus minds...

Seems to be fixed here, for me.

My bad - I was logged out, and it doesn't seem to happen reading threads when logged out.

When logged in, I still see the issue. (Safari/iPad)

I would venture that it seems to be linked to threads with unread posts. I can’t say that I’ve noticed it occurring if I deliberately click on a thread where I’ve seen all the posts in the thread.

I could be wrong (as you tend not to view read threads that often), so the bulk of my forum reading is of unread posts, but I haven’t noticed the grey-out on read threads to date. But that would tie-in with Muzines’ logged-out observation as you don’t get unread post indications when not logged in.

Has anything changed as I haven’t had a grey incident for quite some time?

Though I have upgraded my phone to iOS16.3 this afternoon and maybe that has fixed the issue if nothing else has been done?

It was happening to me a day or two ago, not today though. I’m using an iPhone 12 mini with iOS 16.2 and Safari.

Still no grey-outs, so I would assume the problem on iOS browsers gas been fixed.

But it would be nice to know if something was fixed by SOS or whether it was a Tapatalk issue that Tapatalk finally fixed.
