I know I’ve just had a post disappear after I posted it, and reading the threads others are having similar issues. I know it’s happened before to me recently.
It’s not the ‘taking ages to post’ issue; this is pressing ‘submit’, the page refreshing and the post appearing, but going back to the thread after leaving it, it’s not there and it’s bloody annoying.

I've had it a couple of times as well.

I've had a couple of PMs sent to me that didn't arrive, and then when I finally did receive a PM from ther person concerned, my reply to him disappeared without trace (we spoke on the phone in the end
)

This has only happened with me on Private Messages thus far, but did occur during the past few days.

Sorry I'm late in responding folks - February is financial end of year for us and my workload grows, so something has to be put on the backburner.
The truth is this old Forum software is getting very long in the tooth now and I suspect it's falling over for reasons unknown when the traffic hits a high level. It's incredibly hard to troubleshoot unless we are monitoring the Forum and site at the time of the problem, as there are so many variables involved.
The whole site is scheduled to be upgraded to a new version later this year, and the Forum is likely to gain benefits from this too.
So, in short, nothing we can do, regrettably.

Looking back through the beta-test archives, the last upgrade to the forum software was in (or soon after) July 2021 when the 'notifications' feature appeared.
Before it went public we were testing the phpBB upgrade from May onwards.
